Departure Update
Wednesday, June 16, 2004

Alrighty...The first leg of the trip is nearing completion, and is making way for the second. The second just happens to be a 154 mile crossing of the Gulf. I've estimated this to take me between 30-40 hours non-stop. (Lots of factors come into play, so it's hard to get a better estimate.) At the most, I'll be 60-75 miles offshore, so I'll finally get to watch the sunrise, then sunset, all without the sight of land (a longtime dream of mine).

The weather forecast is about as good as it's going to get, so I'm slated to leave this (Wednesday) afternoon. I hope to arrive in Tarpon Springs sometime early Friday morning. If I can't access the internet in Tarpon, I'll be sure and have somebody send a message to update ya'll. Anyway...wish me luck!
