Hey! Thanks for taking the time to check out my life! I've never really been one to write much...especially when it comes to journals and things, but then again, I've never really had an adventure like this. I plan on keeping up with the major events, and probably a few minor ones, using this site. I think that it'll be something I'll be glad I have a few years from now.

But, if you've read the plan then you know I'm going to be mostly living at a marina working for the first few months. While I hope to keep the journal going on a nearly daily basis, I know that most of the really interesting stuff as far as ya'll* are concerned won't kick in until I begin actually cruising the Gulf. Once I leave and begin cruising, I plan on writing something everyday about the trip, but I suspect the internet connections will be few and far between. I think that at that point in the journey, I'll be lucky if I can upload all of the new logbook entries once a week or so. So, just bear with me and know that I'll do the best I can to keep everything up-to-date. If something I say offends you, or you get annoyed or bored by my ramblings, then stop reading. Duh.

One more thing...THANK YOU! There have been so many people already who have helped me make this a reality that it's unbelievable! Especially Mom & Dad...there's no way in the world I could have done this without their help and support. Seriously...thanks everyone!
